Peach Flan (Peach Tart)

The flan is a ready-made tart shell you can use without baking, which makes this recipe extremely quick to prepare. Once you have the shell ready (store-bought or homemade), top it with any fruit you have for an elegant, delicious dessert.

  • 2 cups fresh peaches
  • 1 small packet of gelatin or fruit jelly
  • 1 cup hot water
  • *Custard
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 cup sugar (or less to taste)
  • 5 tablespoons custard powder

  • Start by preparing the custard mixture. You can make it thinner or thicker, but a medium-thick consistency is recommended.

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Heat the milk with sugar on the stove until hot. Before it boils, add the cup of milk that contains the dissolved custard and whisk briskly to prevent lumps.
  2. Set the custard aside to cool until it is cold enough to use on the tart.
  3. Place the ready-made flan or tart shell on the serving plate. The flan shell does not need baking and can be used straight away.
  4. Pour the chilled, prepared custard into the tart shell.
  5. Arrange the pre-sliced fresh peach pieces decoratively on top.
  6. Separately, dissolve the packet of gelatin in the cup of hot water. Before it cools and sets completely, pour it gently over the peaches to preserve their shine and shape.
  7. Whisk the sugar into the milk. Reserve one cup of this milk mixture in a separate bowl to dissolve the custard powder.
