How to Make Fried Apple Pies
Easy homemade apple pies in a delicious recipe you'll surely love! We used puff pastry for light, flaky pies.
Fried apple pies made with flaky puff pastry... one of the tastiest desserts. You can try this easy method and the result is wonderful.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Ready-made puff pastry
- 3 apples
- 50 g butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- A pinch of nutmeg, optional
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon water

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
- Put the chopped apples in a pot over the heat and add the butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, and cook over low heat, stirring, until the apples are well cooked.
- In a bowl dissolve the flour with one teaspoon of water, then add it to the apple mixture and stir until the filling thickens.
- Wait just a few minutes and turn off the heat.
- Let the filling cool to room temperature.
- Fill the puff pastry with the apple filling then brush the edges with a little water and seal the pastry, then press the edges with a fork so they stick well.
- Place the pies in the freezer until they are firm (do not fry them immediately; you must freeze them so the filling does not leak during frying).
- Heat plenty of oil and fry the apple pies until golden, then remove them from the oil and serve.
