Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup ground oats
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- Shape it into circles and place them on the grill or in a frying pan over the heat until you see bubbles in the dough. Flip them to the other side to form similar bubbles.
Method
- Start by putting the sugar and instant yeast in a cup of warm water... stir the sugar and yeast and cover them.
- Meanwhile, mix the flour, oats and baking powder. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast‑sugar water which should have doubled in volume. Knead the mixture and add water as needed so you get a dough that does not stick to the hands.
- Finally add the tablespoon of vinegar and knead the ingredients well. Grease a deep bowl with a little olive oil, put the dough in it and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour.
- After the dough has risen, roll it out, cut it and flatten it thinly (not thick), and sprinkle it with ground oats instead of flour when stretching it.
- Shape it into circles and place them on the grill or in a frying pan over the heat until you see bubbles in the dough. Flip them to the other side to form similar bubbles.
- Put them in a preheated hot oven at about 450 degrees and place the dough circles in the oven to puff up and brown on both sides...
