Milk Wheat Pudding Dessert

How to make milk wheat pudding, a very delicious recipe that takes us back to many beautiful days when wheat pudding was one of the most famous and important desserts served to family and guests.

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • Half a kilo peeled wheat
  • 2 cups sugar (you can adjust the amount of sugar to taste)
  • crushed mastic
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 1/4 small cup orange blossom water
  • 5 cups liquid milk
  • For garnish: peeled almonds, pistachios, raisins, pomegranate, shredded coconut
  • Note
  • Before adding the milk and sugar, you can grind half the wheat in an electric blender and then add it to the remaining half. We did not do that in this recipe, and it is up to you according to your preference and the doneness of the wheat.
  • The tastiest chocolate cake with orange, step by step

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place the hulled wheat in a bowl with plenty of water and leave it soaked overnight
  2. The next day, wash the wheat and boil it in plenty of water for 3 hours over very low heat, adding water as needed and stirring from time to time, being careful that the wheat does not stick
    Timers: 180 min
  3. The wheat must be well boiled so the grains swell and cook thoroughly; it may take more than 3 hours depending on the type of wheat
  4. Pour the milk over the cooked wheat and continue stirring, and when the mixture begins to thicken and the wheat is fully cooked, add the sugar and crushed mastic. Also add orange blossom water and rose water and leave the milk-wheat on the heat for about half an hour over low heat, stirring continuously
  5. Pour the milk-wheat pudding into a serving dish and garnish with grated coconut, nuts, and pomegranate as desired
  6. Note:
  7. Before adding the milk and sugar you can grind half of the wheat in a blender and then add it back to the remaining half; we did not do this in this recipe—it's up to you depending on your preference and the wheat's tenderness
