Petit four — an easy homemade treat the kids will love and ask for more
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup oil or butter at room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- Jam for decoration
- Salam Hijazi (Umm Hadi)

Method
- Beat the eggs with the soft butter, sugar, and vanilla
- In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, then add them to the egg and butter mixture
- Mix well until you obtain a soft dough
- Place the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour to rest
- After time has passed, shape the petit fours pieces as desired then arrange them on a baking tray on parchment paper
- Put them in the oven at medium temperature for about 15 minutes or until the petit fours turn goldenTimers: 15 min
- Leave the tray aside until the petit fours cool
- When cooled, decorate them with jam or Nutella as desired
