- 500 grams sifted flour
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 125 grams soft butter
- Knead the mixture until you have a smooth, non-sticky dough.
- Divide the savory biscuit dough into several portions and add to each portion the flavor you want: za'atar, cumin, cheddar cheese, or hot pepper according to taste.

- Brush the tops with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds or nigella (black) seeds.
- Bake the savory biscuits in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) on the middle rack until golden.
