Petit four without oil — here’s a delicious, special homemade recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup powdered (confectioners') sugar
- 2 eggs
- vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- a small pinch of salt
- For chocolate petit fours: 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder + 1 teaspoon butter
Method

- In the mixer bowl, put room-temperature butter with powdered sugar and beat until the mixture becomes creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and beat.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch and baking powder with a small pinch of salt and sift them.
- Add them to the butter mixture and whisk with a hand whisk, a spoon, or by hand.
- Divide the mixture into two portions; to one portion add cocoa and 1 teaspoon butter and mix well.
- Chill the petit four dough in the refrigerator for about half an hour.
- After the time has passed, shape the petit fours and place the pieces on parchment paper on a baking tray.
- Put the tray into a preheated oven at 180°C for only 10 to 12 minutes.Timers: 12 min
- When the petit fours are cool, decorate them as desired.
