Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 3 cups boiling water
- onion
- garlic
- chicken bouillon cube
- Seasonings: bay leaf - cinnamon sticks - cardamom pods - cloves
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 grated carrots
- hot pepper, to taste
- Spices: cumin - turmeric - curry

Method
- Wash the rice well and soak it in hot water for half an hour; in a pot, put a little oil and fry the chopped onion and garlic
- When they soften, add the stock cube and seasonings and stir well
- Add the grated carrot and sauté until soft, then add the peeled chopped tomato, hot pepper, spices and salt and stir
- Then add the boiling water and the drained rice
- Leave them on high heat until the water dries without stirring; when the water level is at the rice—i.e., the surface of the rice is dry—reduce the heat and cover the pot
