Spaghetti with Red Sauce
A classic, easy pasta dish: spaghetti tossed in a bright tomato sauce with ground beef.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 standard box of long, thin pasta
- 1 large dry onion
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 kilogram coarsely ground beef
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Salt
- Black pepper
- White pepper
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Preparing spaghetti with red sauce — couldn't be easier.
- Boil the pasta in water with a pinch of salt.
- When it's cooked, drain it, then drizzle one tablespoon of oil over it so it doesn't stick together, and set it aside.
- Chop the onion and tomatoes, then put them in a pot over the heat.
- Add 3 cups of water and spices and let them boil until the vegetables are cooked.
- Blend the sauce in an electric blender then return it to the pot, and add tomato paste.
- In a frying pan, sauté the meat in a little oil until browned.
- Add the meat to the sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the pasta and salt, stir, then remove the pot from the heat.
- Serve the spaghetti with red sauce hot.
