Turkish Bride Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 medium teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Soaking the cake
  • 2 cups milk
  • White cream
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla or 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 packet ready-made powdered cream
  • Decoration
  • 1 container of strawberries
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut or 3 bars white chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons ground pistachios

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar together for 4 minutes

  2. Add the flour, vanilla, baking powder, and water and mix for 3 minutes
    Timers: 3 min
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in the oven at 150°C until the cake is cooked and the top is browned
  4. As soon as the cake is ready and while it is still hot, pour the milk and sugar over it to soak the cake and set it aside...
  5. Begin preparing the white cream: on the stove put the milk, sugar, cardamom or vanilla, flour and cornstarch until the mixture begins to thicken ... turn off the heat and set aside to cool slightly..
  6. Add the packet of ready powdered cream to the cream mixture and mix well, then spread it over the cake... For decoration, cover the white cream with shredded coconut or chocolate then decorate with strawberries or rose and pistachios as shown in the accompanying photos.....
