Homemade Chicken Shawarma
A recipe and method for making chicken shawarma in a home style that's easy and very tasty. You can serve chicken shawarma with fries and garlic sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken breast, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon seven-spice
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch black pepper
- Pinch white pepper
- Pinch garlic powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- Pinch turmeric (yellow)
- 1 teaspoon paprika or sweet red pepper
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- Zest of 1 lemon
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the boneless chicken pieces well and cut them into lengthwise strips.
- Mix the chicken with the spices and all marinade ingredients and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.Timers: 180 min
- When it's time to cook the chicken shawarma, place the mixture in an ovenproof tray and roast in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.Timers: 40 min
