- 2 cups fine semolina
- 5 cups water
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- Cream (qeshta) ingredients:
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 tablespoon rose water
Method
- Place the water and sugar on the stove until the water heats and the sugar dissolves, then add 1 tablespoon orange blossom water and turn off the heat
- In a separate pot, toast the semolina with constant stirring to prevent burning; when well toasted, add the butter and stir until melted and blended with the semolina ...
- Then add the water and sugar you prepared earlier, reduce the heat, and stir well until the water dries and you have a dough
- Then shape it as desired
- Spread cream on top
- Garnish with pistachios and cashews
- Serve semolina halva with syrup or honey
