Ingredients

  • 2 cups fine semolina
  • 5 cups water
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • Cream (qeshta) ingredients:
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 1 tablespoon rose water

Method

  1. Place the water and sugar on the stove until the water heats and the sugar dissolves, then add 1 tablespoon orange blossom water and turn off the heat
  2. In a separate pot, toast the semolina with constant stirring to prevent burning; when well toasted, add the butter and stir until melted and blended with the semolina ...
  3. Then add the water and sugar you prepared earlier, reduce the heat, and stir well until the water dries and you have a dough
  4. Then shape it as desired
  5. Spread cream on top
  6. Garnish with pistachios and cashews
  7. Serve semolina halva with syrup or honey
  8. Put all ingredients on the heat and keep stirring until the mixture thickens ... Wait until the mixture cools to use it to decorate the semolina
  9. You can use ready-made cream as desired and as available.
  10. Note: The amount of water may vary depending on how much the semolina absorbs.
