- 1 box ready-made baklava pastry (phyllo)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup water
- Ground nuts, as desired
- Coconut
- Sugar syrup (qatr)
- Oil for frying
Method
- Mix the flour and water to obtain a sticky mixture for the dough.
- Take one sheet of baklava pastry and fold it in half, placing the sticky mixture at the edge. Use a long wooden skewer for rolling, place it at the beginning of the pastry and roll it around. When you reach the end, seal it well with the sticky mixture.
- Cover the baklava rolls with a cloth so they don't dry out.
- Fry the baklava in plenty of hot oil over medium heat. When they turn golden, remove them from the oil and immediately dip them in the syrup... Sprinkle with nuts or coconut and serve when cooled...
