Ingredients
- 1.5 liters liquid milk or 1.5 cups powdered milk dissolved in 1.5 liters water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom water
- 2 cups semolina
- Butter for greasing the pan or tray
- 1.5 tablespoons cocoa dissolved in 1/2 cup liquid milk
- Plain biscuits, crushed, for topping
- A dusting of cocoa for garnish
Method
- In a pot over the stove, put the milk and sugar and stir while cold, then place over medium heat while continuing to stir.
- When the sugar dissolves and the milk heats, add the orange blossom water and stir.
- Then gradually add the semolina in stages, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens and begins to boil.
- Turn off the heat and pour half of the mixture into a buttered pan.
- Return the second half of the mixture to the stove after adding the cocoa dissolved in 1/2 cup of milk.
- Stir constantly until the cocoa mixture boils and thickens.
- Using a spoon, pour the second mixture over the first layer in the pan.
- Let the cocoa semolina tray cool well, then refrigerate for at least 5 hours so it cools and sets.Timers: 300 min
- Garnish the top with crushed biscuits and a dusting of cocoa (or as desired) and serve.
