Easy Toffee (Caramel) Sauce
An easy homemade toffee/caramel sauce — simple to make and great for topping many desserts.

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can clotted cream (qimar)

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a nonstick pan, put the sugar and butter and stir until they turn blond or light brown.
- Slowly and gradually add 1 cup of milk while stirring continuously.
- Add a can of ashta (clotted cream) or cream gradually, spoonful by spoonful, while stirring continuously.
- Reduce the heat and whisk very quickly until the mixture becomes smooth; remove from the heat after it has boiled twice.
- Use the toffee sauce to decorate or fill a wide variety of desserts.
