Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Shrimp (prawns)
- Mixed lettuce
- Avocado
- Cucumber
- Arugula (rocket)
- Black pepper
- Paprika or sweet red pepper powder
- Salt
- Dressing
- Lemon juice
- Olive oil
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic
- Salt
- Black pepper
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Grill the shrimp in a hot nonstick skillet without adding oil; we want the shrimp to release all their liquids and take on a grilled flavor.
- Sprinkle a little black pepper and paprika over them while cooking; leave the salt for later.
- Let the shrimp cool before adding them to the salad.
- Remove the avocado pit, scoop out the flesh with a spoon, and slice it.
- Chop the rest of the vegetables and arrange them with the avocado slices on a salad serving plate.
- Arrange the shrimp on top.
- Whisk all the dressing ingredients together, making the garlic very mild, in a separate bowl.
- Drizzle the dressing over the shrimp and avocado salad and serve.
