Sesame Balloon Bread

Ingredients

• One and a half cups liquid milk
• One tablespoon sugar
• One tablespoon instant yeast
• A pinch of salt
• Quarter cup oil
• 4 cups flour
• To coat the dough:
• Liquid milk
• Sesame seeds

Method

1. Place the dry dough ingredients in a bowl and mix, then add the liquids and knead until you have a soft, smooth dough
2. Cover the dough and let it rest until it doubles in size
3. After the dough has risen, divide it into medium-sized balls and let them rest for five minutes
4. Dip the balls in liquid milk, then in sesame seeds
5. Roll out the balls or flatten them with a rolling pin, then cut each one into 4 pieces
6. Let them rest for another 5 minutes before frying them in plenty of hot oil until they puff up from the inside and turn golden
