Homemade Baguette
Homemade baguette — a wonderful recipe that will fill your home with the aroma of freshly baked bread. The ingredients are simple, but pay close attention to the detailed baking steps.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1/4 cup water mixed with 1 tsp oil for spraying the loaf while baking
- A little butter for brushing the top

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Knead all the ingredients together until you get a slightly sticky dough.
- Cover and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise.Timers: 30 min
- After rising, shape the dough as desired on parchment paper on a baking tray and cover again for 40 minutes.Timers: 40 min
- Preheat the oven with top and bottom heat to 180°C (350°F) and place the tray in the center.
- Prepare 1/4 cup water with 1 tsp oil and mix — you will use this to spray the loaf as needed. Set aside.
- When the baguette begins to turn light golden, spray it with the water-oil mix. Repeat this process several times (about four times) until the loaf reaches the desired color.
- When the baguette is done, remove it from the oven and immediately brush the top with a little butter to add softness, shine and flavor.
