  • half cup olive oil
  • half cup ghee
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk

  • Filling method:

Method

  1. Mix the flour and semolina, then add the powdered milk, baking powder, and baking soda and mix well.
  2. In another bowl, mix the oil and ghee well, then gradually add the flour mixture over the ghee and oil and mix.
  3. Add the water gradually and bring the dough together until you get the soft, cohesive dough we need.
  4. Roll out the dough immediately between two sheets of plastic wrap. Also roll out the prepared filling between two sheets of plastic wrap (to the same size as the dough).
  5. Spread the date filling over the dough.
  6. Cut lengthwise to get long strips that can be rolled once into rolls (see photo gallery).
  7. Cut the rolls with a knife into pieces and decorate the top with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake the date maqrouطة on a tray in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
