Bahla Ghraybeh Dessert
Bahla ghraybeh is a beautiful-looking dessert with delicious flavor, made with an easy and tried-and-tested homemade recipe!
Ingredients

- 200 g, or 1 1/2 cups flour
- 62 g, or 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
- 85 ml, or 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup toasted, crushed almonds
- 1/4 cup toasted, crushed sesame seeds
- 100 g, or about 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Almonds for garnish

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a large bowl place the butter, sugar, and vanilla and mix them by hand until combined and the mixture is creamy and white
- Add the almonds and sesame to the butter-and-sugar mixture and stir until well combined
- In another bowl add the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon and whisk them with a hand whisk
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three additions, continuing to mix — do not knead
- The dough should be soft, and if it does not hold together add a little flour according to the dough's need
- Shape the dough into rounds and place an almond in the center of each piece
- Place the Bahla Ghraybeh in a preheated oven using the top-heat setting at 180°C
- Leave the Ghraybeh in the oven for about 5 minutes or until the surface cracksTimers: 5 min
- Switch to bottom heat at 180°C for about 10 minutes or until the Ghraybeh turn slightly reddishTimers: 10 min
- Let the Bahla Ghraybeh cool completely at room temperature, then serve
- Note: Almonds can be replaced with hazelnuts or peanuts
