Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 2 cups shredded/desiccated coconut
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (you can also prepare the condensed milk yourself if you prefer)
  • Almonds, walnuts, or cashews for the filling, as desired
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered (fine) sugar
  • 1 cup full-fat milk powder
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon butter at room temperature
  • A dash of vanilla

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. In a bowl, put 1½ cups desiccated coconut with the sweetened condensed milk and mix well until a dough forms
  2. Place the remaining ½ cup desiccated coconut in a separate bowl to coat the Raffaello balls later
  3. Begin rolling the dough into balls and place inside each ball an almond, walnut, or cashew as desired ... shape each into a smooth sphere by rolling between your palms
  4. Dip the Raffaello balls into the reserved bowl of desiccated coconut
  5. Serve the dessert immediately or set aside for later serving
