Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 cup lukewarm milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 75 g butter (about 1/4 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • A pinch of salt
  • Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Put half the flour with lukewarm milk, yeast and sugar, mix and leave for ten minutes until the yeast activates
  2. Then add the remaining ingredients — the egg, the remaining flour, salt, vanilla and water — and knead for at least ten minutes
  3. Let the dough rest for half an hour as well
  4. Shape the donuts with a special cutter and let them rise again for about 15 minutes

  5. Heat the oil and fry the donuts in hot oil over medium heat
  6. Coat them with melted white or milk chocolate or dust them with powdered sugar
