Basbousa Dessert
Basbousa dessert is one of the easiest Arabic sweets! Just mix the ingredients well, spread the batter in a baking tray, and wait for the wonderful result. Pour cold syrup over it while it is still hot.

Ingredients

- 3 cups fine semolina
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup melted ghee
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup sugar
- Cold syrup
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a bowl, mix the semolina and baking powder well.
- Add the melted ghee to the semolina mixture, then add the sugar and vanilla, and mix well.
- Finally, add the buttermilk and shredded coconut and mix well.
- Pour the basbousa mixture into a tray greased with a little tahini.
- Bake the tray in a hot oven over low heat.
- When the basbousa is cooked and golden on both sides, remove it from the oven, pour over the cold syrup, and decorate the top with shredded coconut.
- Let it cool well at room temperature before serving.
