Caramel-Filled Churros
Churros are super delicious and easy Latin sweet pastries. You can fill them with caramel, as we did in this recipe. Give them a try.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water (240 ml)
- 1 cup flour
- 110 g butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Liquid caramel for filling
- Powdered sugar for decoration

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a saucepan, while cold, add the water, butter, sugar, salt, and flour and stir.
- Turn on the heat and let them warm up, stirring constantly, until a dough forms.
- Turn off the heat and let the dough cool slightly, then start adding the eggs one at a time, whisking well until you have a sticky dough.
- Put the dough in a piping bag and shape the churros into cookie-stick shapes or circles, then place the pieces directly on a tray.
- Place the tray in the refrigerator for a while to firm up the pieces.
- Heat plenty of oil and place the pieces directly from the refrigerator into the hot oil until they turn lightly golden.
- Remove the churros from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb the oil.
- When the pieces have cooled, fill them with caramel in any way you like. You can use a piping bag.
- Serve caramel-filled churros dusted with powdered sugar.
