  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 200 g unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Method

  1. Start by whisking the eggs and vanilla well.
  2. Add the sugar and continue whisking until the mixture is uniform and the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the butter at room temperature and beat well, then add the flour alternately with the baking powder while continuing to beat.
  4. Wash the raisins and dry them well, then add them to the cake batter and fold in with a wooden spoon.
  5. Pour the batter into a pan greased with butter or tahini, suitable for the oven and for an English cake.
  6. Bake the cake in a preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until cooked and risen at 180°C.
