- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 200 g unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 cup raisins
Method
- Start by whisking the eggs and vanilla well.
- Add the sugar and continue whisking until the mixture is uniform and the sugar dissolves.
- Add the butter at room temperature and beat well, then add the flour alternately with the baking powder while continuing to beat.
- Wash the raisins and dry them well, then add them to the cake batter and fold in with a wooden spoon.
- Pour the batter into a pan greased with butter or tahini, suitable for the oven and for an English cake.
- Bake the cake in a preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until cooked and risen at 180°C.Timers: 35 min
