Everyday Dry Cake
A successful homemade everyday cake recipe. Several details in this recipe make the cake turn out great and rise a lot even though it uses only two eggs.
Everyday dry cake with only two eggs
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 100 ml oil
- 100 ml carbonated water or 7-Up
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 1/4 cups flour

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In the mixing bowl, place the eggs, vanilla and sugar and beat on high speed until the mixture turns white and doubles in volume.
- Gradually add the oil and beat.
- Separately, mix the vinegar with the milk and add it to the mixture and beat.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt and add them over the everyday dry cake mixture; add the dry ingredients gradually and beat until the flour disappears.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered pan dusted with flour.
- Place the pan into a preheated oven at 170°C for 45 to 50 minutes depending on the oven's strength.Timers: 50 min
- Let the cake cool completely at room temperature before inverting it onto a serving plate.
