Recipe story
Homemade tahini can be made with simple, inexpensive ingredients! Let's take a look at the easy method
Ingredients
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil, or as needed (the more oil you add, the thinner the tahini will be)
- 1 teaspoon flour
- A pinch of salt
Method
- In a pan over the heat, add the sesame seeds, flour, and a pinch of salt, and stir constantly until they are well heated, without letting them brown
- Place them in a blender (the kind used for cocktails) and grind until they become like a dough
- Add the oil to the blender while it is running, pouring it in a thin stream. Stop adding oil once you reach the desired consistency
- Store the tahini in the refrigerator
