Sinioura with pistachios — an easy homemade recipe

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups (about) butter or a mix of ghee and butter

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place the butter with the sugar in an electric mixer and beat until the sugar dissolves and they become homogeneous.
  2. Add the flour, one cup at a time, until you obtain a firm dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal-sized pieces, then shape them in the special mould and fill with the pistachio filling, cover with a layer of dough and press slightly; you can also leave them plain without filling.
  4. Tap the edge of the mould on the edge of the table so the sinioura piece drops out, then arrange them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Put the tray into a preheated oven at 160°C for 15 minutes or until the sinioura turns golden.
    Timers: 15 min
  6. Dust powdered sugar over the pistachio-filled sinioura and serve when cooled.
