Chinese-style rice with fried or grilled fish fillet!
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 1/4 cup (or less) soy sauce, to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Mixed vegetables: carrot, cabbage, green onion, bell pepper (slice thinly)
- Fish fillet seasoned with garlic and lemon
- Ground cumin
- Salt
- Parsley (dried or fresh)

Method
- Heat the oil in a wide skillet until hot.
- Add the clean rice (do not rinse) and stir until the grains become lightly golden.
- Carefully add the water and soy sauce and cook the rice as you would normally.
- Two minutes before turning off the heat, add the thinly sliced vegetables.
- Drizzle two tablespoons of soy sauce over the vegetables and cover for two minutes, then turn off the heat and fold them into the rice.
- Serve the Chinese-style rice alongside oven-grilled fish fillet, or lightly dust the fillet with flour and deep-fry in hot oil.
