  • 3 cups flour
  • Three-quarters of a 500 g pack of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • Lukewarm water for the dough

Method

  1. We start by mixing the dry ingredients. Add the flour, then the powdered milk, sugar, and salt, and mix well.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla, then the butter, which should be at room temperature.
  3. Knead the ingredients well until you get a smooth, soft, cohesive dough that does not stick to the hands.
  4. Let the dough rise for about half an hour. After the required time, roll out the dough so it is neither thick nor thin, then cut it into circles, or use a donut cutter if available.
  5. Let the circles rest again for about 10 minutes.

  6. Then fry the donuts in oil over medium heat, meaning not too hot and not too cold.
  7. Remove the donuts from the heat and let them cool well, then make a small opening in the center of each piece and fill it with strawberry jam. You can also dust them with powdered sugar for decoration.
