Rice with Meat
Rice with meat is a versatile dish that works for a casual day or as a main course for gatherings and formal banquets. The secret is cooking the rice correctly to achieve great flavor and an attractive presentation.
Ingredients

- 4 cups basmati rice
- 1/2 kilo ground meat
- 1/2 kilo meat chunks
- 1 dried onion, finely chopped
- 7 cups beef broth
- Salt, spices, and flavorings for boiling the meat
Method

- Boil the meat chunks well with the flavorings (bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, whole cardamom, cloves) and an onion over low heat until fully cooked.
- Fry the dried onion until wilted, then add the ground meat and cook until the meat is done. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of seven-spice mix, cinnamon, and ground cloves, and continue to stir with the onions and spices.
- If desired, you can add two chicken bouillon cubes here.
- Place the basmati rice over the meat and onion mixture, stir well, then add cups of beef broth.
- Let the mixture come to a boil over medium heat; as the water reduces, reduce the heat and cover, simmering the rice on very low heat until tender.
- Let the rice rest for a few minutes after cooking, then fluff and serve with boiled meat on top and fried nuts to taste.
