Ingredients

  • Flour - 2 1/2 cups
  • Softened butter - 1 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1 cup
  • White sugar - 1/3 cup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips or small candies
  • A pinch of salt
  • Scoop about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough and place it in as round a shape as possible on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Method

  1. Cream the butter and both sugars for about 3 minutes in a medium bowl.
    Timers: 3 min
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, then fold in the chocolate pieces or chips and mix well.
  5. Scoop portions of roughly 2 tablespoons of cookie dough and place them as round mounds (as circular as possible) on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes until golden and crisp.
