- Chicken thighs, as needed
- Potato slices, as needed
- Sliced onion
- Minced garlic
- Fresh lemon juice
- Salt
- Seven-spice blend
- Cinnamon
- Black pepper
- To boil the chicken:
- Onion
- A black lime (loomi)
- Bay leaves
- Cardamom pods
Method
- Boil the chicken until half cooked, then set it aside after it is done
- In a baking dish, place the sliced onion, fry the potatoes until half cooked, then place them over the onion, then add the chicken thighs
- In a separate bowl, add the chicken broth that the chicken was boiled in, after straining out the aromatics
- Add the tangy lemon juice to the chicken broth, then add the minced garlic and spices and mix well
- Pour a little of the potato frying oil over the chicken thighs, then pour over the chicken broth sauce with the lemon juice
- Place the chicken tray in a hot oven until the chicken and potatoes are fully cooked
- Adjust the salt to taste
- Serve the chicken with garlic and tangy lemon juice alongside cooked white rice
