Turkish-style fried eggs, a very tasty recipe that is a little different from the usual way we prepare eggs.
Ingredients
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 peeled tomato, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup mushrooms
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of paprika
- A pinch of cumin
- Salt
- Oil or ghee
- A pinch of mozzarella and kasshawan cheese
Method
- In a frying pan, heat the oil or ghee and fry the finely chopped onion until it softens and turns just slightly golden.
- Add the mushrooms over the onion and stir, then add the tomato, spices, and salt. Cover the pan and let it cook over low heat until the vegetables are done.
- Cut the hard-boiled eggs crosswise and add them on top of the pan.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top and cover the pan again until the cheese melts over the eggs.
- Serve the Turkish-style fried eggs immediately.
