Turkish-style fried eggs, a very tasty recipe that is a little different from the usual way we prepare eggs.

Ingredients

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 peeled tomato, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A pinch of paprika
  • A pinch of cumin
  • Salt
  • Oil or ghee
  • A pinch of mozzarella and kasshawan cheese

Method

  1. In a frying pan, heat the oil or ghee and fry the finely chopped onion until it softens and turns just slightly golden.
  2. Add the mushrooms over the onion and stir, then add the tomato, spices, and salt. Cover the pan and let it cook over low heat until the vegetables are done.
  3. Cut the hard-boiled eggs crosswise and add them on top of the pan.
  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top and cover the pan again until the cheese melts over the eggs.
  5. Serve the Turkish-style fried eggs immediately.
