Ingredients
- 4 cups, or 1 liter, liquid milk
- 2 heaping tablespoons flour
- 2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 small teaspoon vanilla
- 8 heaping tablespoons sugar
- 1 large tablespoon butter
- 1 sachet or 1 small teaspoon vanilla
- 1 sachet whipped cream powder or 1 cup liquid cream, حسب المتوفر
Method
- Put the milk, flour, cornstarch, and sugar together and mix them while cold, then place them over the heat, stirring constantly.
- If we want to add the liquid cream, add it at this stage before the mixture thickens, and continue stirring until the mixture thickens, then add the vanilla and butter and stir.
- When the butter melts, turn off the heat.
- If we want to use whipped cream powder, add it after turning off the heat. Add it over the muhallabia mixture and mix well by whisking.
- Pour the Turkish muhallabia into cups and leave it to cool at room temperature, then place the cups in the refrigerator.
- Serve it cold and decorate as desired when serving.
