Ingredients

  • 4 cups, or 1 liter, liquid milk
  • 2 heaping tablespoons flour
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 small teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 heaping tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large tablespoon butter
  • 1 sachet or 1 small teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 sachet whipped cream powder or 1 cup liquid cream, حسب المتوفر

Method

  1. Put the milk, flour, cornstarch, and sugar together and mix them while cold, then place them over the heat, stirring constantly.
  2. If we want to add the liquid cream, add it at this stage before the mixture thickens, and continue stirring until the mixture thickens, then add the vanilla and butter and stir.
  3. When the butter melts, turn off the heat.
  4. If we want to use whipped cream powder, add it after turning off the heat. Add it over the muhallabia mixture and mix well by whisking.
  5. Pour the Turkish muhallabia into cups and leave it to cool at room temperature, then place the cups in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve it cold and decorate as desired when serving.
