Ingredients
- Chicken marinade for soaking
- 1 kilo chicken thighs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chicken seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon seven-spice
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Chicken coating mix before frying
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup crushed crackers (breadcrumbs)
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Method
- First, mix all the marinade ingredients well and marinate the chicken thighs for at least 6 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.Timers: 360 min
- Before frying, mix the coating ingredients in a bowl and heat plenty of oil. Then start coating the chicken pieces on all sides with the mixture and place them one by one into the hot oil over high heat.
- Immediately lower the heat to medium so the thighs cook through and turn golden. They will need about 15 to 20 minutes.Timers: 20 min
- Serve the Kentucky Fried Chicken with garlic sauce, ketchup, French fries, and coleslaw, or any salad you like.
- Note: Only place 3 pieces of chicken in the oil at a time, because if you add too many, the oil temperature will drop and the pieces will burn without the thighs cooking through inside.
- The thighs can be fried with the skin on or without the skin.
