Sujuk with pomegranate molasses .. a super tasty and practical recipe!

Ingredients

  • Armenian or Lebanese-style sujuk 1 kilogram (ready from the butcher)
  • 2 or 3 colored bell peppers
  • 1 dry onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate molasses
  • Salt to taste
  • A small pinch of seven-spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • A light pinch of garlic powder or 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method

  1. First... in a large skillet... sauté the sujuk after cutting it into rounds (cover it while doing so)... do not add oil because we want to grill it.
  2. Set it aside and discard the fat from the pan, then add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Add the sliced colored peppers, onion, and tomatoes.
  3. Sprinkle on a light pinch of salt and the spices, stir a little, then cover and let them cook over medium heat.
  4. After 10 minutes, or once they are cooked, add the sujuk to the pan along with the pomegranate molasses and stir well.
    Timers: 10 min
  5. Leave them on the heat for just 5 more minutes... we do not want them to dry out.
  6. Serve the sujuk with pomegranate molasses immediately while hot.
