Recipe story
Sujuk with pomegranate molasses .. a super tasty and practical recipe!
Ingredients
- Armenian or Lebanese-style sujuk 1 kilogram (ready from the butcher)
- 2 or 3 colored bell peppers
- 1 dry onion
- 4 tomatoes
- 1/2 cup pomegranate molasses
- Salt to taste
- A small pinch of seven-spice
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- A light pinch of garlic powder or 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Method
- First... in a large skillet... sauté the sujuk after cutting it into rounds (cover it while doing so)... do not add oil because we want to grill it.
- Set it aside and discard the fat from the pan, then add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Add the sliced colored peppers, onion, and tomatoes.
- Sprinkle on a light pinch of salt and the spices, stir a little, then cover and let them cook over medium heat.
- After 10 minutes, or once they are cooked, add the sujuk to the pan along with the pomegranate molasses and stir well.Timers: 10 min
- Leave them on the heat for just 5 more minutes... we do not want them to dry out.
- Serve the sujuk with pomegranate molasses immediately while hot.
