Oven-Baked Donuts
We're really excited about this recipe! It uses the same ingredients as traditional donuts, but finishes by baking instead of frying, reducing the dietary or "visual" drawbacks of regular donuts.

- 5 cups sifted flour or more depending on the flour
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm or warm milk
- 1 egg
- 5 tablespoons sugar

Method
- Whisk all ingredients together well. Be sure to beat the egg well and mix it with the rest of the ingredients to obtain a soft dough.
- Let the dough rest for about an hour.
- Then shape the dough into hollow-centered circles and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; let them rest again for about 30 minutes.Timers: 30 min
- After the time has passed, bake the donuts in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 12 minutes, or until they are cooked and puffed.Timers: 12 min
- Sauce
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 small bar plain chocolate
- 2 teaspoons cocoa
- Whisk the ingredients well and cook over low heat until the mixture thickens slightly. Pour the hot sauce over the baked donuts and let them sit a moment so the chocolate layer firms.
