Nescafe cake... a delicious and easy recipe
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 teaspoons instant coffee (Nescafé)
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 6 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- Hazelnuts and Nutella for topping
Method
- Beat the eggs with an electric mixer on high speed
- After a short while, when the eggs are creamy, add the vanilla and sugar and continue beating until the sugar is completely dissolved
- Add the oil and continue beating
- Dissolve the instant coffee in the warm milk and mix until the milk is fully incorporated
- Sift the remaining dry ingredients and add them gradually over the egg mixture, folding with a wooden spoon from the bottom up until combined
- Add 1 cup of hazelnuts and fold the same way to combine
- Pour into a pan greased with oil and dusted with flour
- Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat
- Bake the Nescafe cake for about 40 minutes, watching closely — baking time may vary depending on your ovenTimers: 40 min
- Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan, then spread Nutella over the top and sprinkle with hazelnuts
