  • 2 bunches molokhia (mallow)
  • 1/2 bunch fennel
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • a pinch coarse bulgur
  • salt

Method

  1. Clean the molokhia from any impurities and yellow leaves
  2. Clean the fennel as well, then wash it well with the molokhia and spread them on a kitchen towel to dry
  3. Cut the molokhia and fennel into medium pieces
  4. In a skillet over the heat, add the oil and onion and stir until the onion turns brown
  5. Add the molokhia and fennel over the onion and stir briefly
  6. Add the bulgur and salt, and stir over high heat until the water dries out
  7. Serve the molokhia with bulgur with pieces of lemon and bread
