Minced meat bake with potatoes and mushrooms... a very practical, easy, and quick recipe

300 g coarse ground meat

1 cinnamon stick

1 bay leaf

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 medium onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

100 g or 1 cup canned or fresh mushrooms

2 medium potatoes, diced

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp seven-spice blend

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp soy sauce, optional

100 g, or 1/2 ounce, mozzarella cheese

Stir the meat with the salt and spices until it dries out, releases its juices, and changes color.
Add the oil, onion, and green pepper, and stir until the vegetables soften slightly, then add the mushrooms and stir.
Add the diced, pre-fried potatoes, adjust the salt, sprinkle over the spices and soy sauce, and stir.
Cover the pan for just a few minutes so the ingredients simmer together, then uncover it, spread the cheese over the top, and turn off the heat as soon as the cheese melts.
Serve the meat, potato, and mushroom bake immediately.
