Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- pinch seven-spice
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- pie dough*
Method
- Mix the meat with salt and spices
- Sauté the chopped onion in a little vegetable oil. When the onion browns, add it to the minced meat and mix well
- Divide the meat mixture into two portions; place the first portion into a cake ring or any round, hollow baking tin to obtain a clear size
- Add sliced mushrooms over the meat as desired
- Also add grated mozzarella cheese
- Shape the second portion of meat using the same ring or tin to get the same size
- Place the second meat portion over the first, the mushrooms, and the cheese
- Fry the double meat disc in a pan over the heat
- Brown the disc on both sides
- Place the fried meat disc on a layer of dough, then cover the meat disc with a second layer of dough from above
- Seal the two dough layers well and braid the edges of the dough, then brush the dough with a little egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top
- Bake the meat disc in dough in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at 180°CTimers: 40 min
