125 grams kataifi (kunafa) pastry strands3 teaspoons powdered sugar1 tablespoon melted butter1/4 cup chopped walnuts or any nuts, with a pinch of ground cinnamon

Filling

1 1/2 cups milk1/2 can qashta (or clotted cream)1/2 cup sugar1/3 cup all-purpose flour7 tablespoons butter at room temperature (100 grams)1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparing the filling

In a saucepan, combine the milk and sugar and whisk by hand until the sugar dissolves.
