Method
- In a medium-sized pot over medium heat, heat the oil, then add the onion and garlic and stir until they soften.
- Add the hot red pepper, paprika, cumin, black pepper, garam masala, salt, bay leaves, coriander, cloves, cardamom pods, chicken bouillon cube, and tomatoes. Stir well until the ingredients are combined.
- Add the chicken pieces and yogurt, reduce the heat, then leave the mixture for about 45 minutes until the chicken is well cooked.Timers: 45 min
- Then add the rice and pour in the water. Stir gently until combined, then let the mixture come to a boil.
- Lower the heat, cover the pot, and leave the mixture for about 35 minutes until the rice is cooked.Timers: 35 min
- Dissolve the saffron in a little water, then add it over the biryani mixture. Stir gently, then serve the biryani rice immediately while hot.
