Method
- Put the lentils and rice in a deep pot over the heat and boil them in water over low heat until they are cooked.
- Finely chop the dried onions and fry them in vegetable oil until the onions turn yellow, not brown, then add them to the lentils and rice.
- Add the salt over the mixture and leave the ingredients to cook and the water to evaporate over low heat. If the water runs out before the ingredients are cooked, you can add a little hot water while stirring, or mash the rice and lentils with a spoon.
