How to Make Turkish Pies

  • 1/4 cup regular oil
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt at room temperature
  • Turkish meat or kebab filling
  • 1 sweet pepper
  • 1 onion
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 tablespoon hot chili
  • 1 cup finely chopped parsley
  • Cheese filling
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Akkawi cheese
  • Nigella seeds
  • Parsley
  • Pizza filling
  • Pizza sauce
  • Corn
  • Mushrooms

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Knead all the ingredients together until you have a soft dough... Let the dough rest for 1 to 2 hours, and prepare the filling during this time.

  2. After preparing the filling and letting the dough rise, roll out the dough, sprinkle it with flour, and fill it with the different fillings as desired.
  3. Place the Turkish pies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven over medium heat until cooked through and golden.
