Ingredients:

6 cups flour

\r\n

2 eggs

\r\n

A pinch of vanilla

\r\n

2 cups sugar

\r\n

1 cup vegetable oil

\r\n

1 cup orange juice

\r\n

1/2 cup or 100 g butter

\r\n

Sesame seeds to taste

\r\n

1 tablespoon mahleb

\r\n

1 tablespoon cookie spice or dukka

\r\n

1 tablespoon baking powder

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n

Method:

\r\n

First, beat the eggs with vanilla.

\r\n

Add sugar, oil, and butter in alternating batches with the flour; beat well and add mahleb and cookie spice (or dukka) and baking powder. You can add extra flour as needed to obtain a soft yet cohesive dough.

\r\n

The dough can be used immediately; no need to rise. Shape the dough as desired on molds or into letters or any shape you like. You can sprinkle sesame if desired.

\r\n

Bake in a hot oven for up to 15 minutes to keep the cookies soft rather than hard.

\r\n

Dust with powdered sugar after baking, if you like.
