How to Make Crispy Chicken Without Eggs
A very tasty method to prepare crispy chicken without eggs or cornflakes. You can make crispy chicken this way and freeze some for later use.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 kilo boneless chicken
- 1 lemon
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup flour
- grated fresh ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- a pinch of white pepper
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- a pinch of oregano or wild thyme
- 1 tablespoon red pepper paste
- 1 tablespoon chicken seasoning
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup fine semolina (farikha)
- salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- a pinch of sweet red pepper or paprika
- 1 tablespoon crispy seasoning
- a pinch garlic powder
- a pinch onion powder
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the chicken well and cut into strips about 2 cm thick lengthwise; rub with lemon and set aside.
- Prepare the marinade. Mix the water with the flour and all the spices and seasonings listed in the ingredients.
- Place the chicken pieces in the marinade for at least two hours.
- Fry the chicken in plenty of oil that will cover the pieces over medium heat. Turn the chicken until half-cooked, then remove and place on kitchen paper to absorb the oil.
- Let the chicken cool completely then put it in the refrigerator for one hour.
- Reheat the oil and fry the chicken until the pieces are fully cooked.
- You can freeze the crispy chicken pieces after frying them halfway; when needed, finish frying them until completely cooked.
- When it's time to fry the chicken, prepare:
- Heat the oil and toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, mixing well; then dip the chicken in the marinade we prepared first, and then again in the flour mixture.
