  • 2 kilos chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric or ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon red paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes or finely ground hot pepper - optional
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • Colored bell peppers, cut - optional
  • Onion, cut

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and add the chicken to the marinade overnight
  2. The next day, thread the chicken pieces, colored peppers, and onion onto skewers as desired
  3. Brush the shish taouk chicken and peppers with a little of the marinade
  4. Place the chicken shish taouk skewers in a preheated oven and grill from the top at 180°C for about 25 minutes, then turn them over to the other side
