  • 4 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • For the filling:
  • Half a kilogram chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Green chili optional
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano or a pinch of thyme
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • Pinch of chicken seasoning

Method

  1. Knead well to form a cohesive dough and let rest for an hour to rise
  2. In a pot over heat, add a little oil and sauté the chopped onion until it wilts, then add the chicken pieces and sauté to evaporate their juices.
  3. Add the vegetables and spices, the tomato paste, and the tomato; stir and simmer on low heat until cooked.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare a glass baking dish; brush its base with a little oil and divide the dough into two portions.
  5. Roll out the dough portions on a clean surface with a rolling pin, making them slightly thick; place one sheet in the dish and top with filling.
  6. Roll out the second dough portion and cut into strips with a cutter or knife; arrange the strips over the filling lengthwise and crosswise to make a lattice pattern.
